At Rainbow Eavestroughing, we believe our impact can extend beyond the customers we serve and into the lives of people who need it most. That’s why we are proud to partner with One4Another International, a Canadian charity dedicated to providing life-changing surgeries for children in Uganda.​​​​
ABOUT One4Another
Medical care is not free in Uganda. For children born with, or who acquire, a surgical condition, the cost of treatment is often far beyond what families can afford.
One4Another exists to change that. They facilitate surgeries, at no cost to families, for children with conditions such as clubfeet, bone infections, burn contractures, anal malformations, fractures, traumas, and hernias. These one-time interventions don’t just treat a condition — they shift the entire trajectory of a child’s life from suffering to hope and prevent a lifetime of hardship.
MEET ALLAN
Our current project with One4Another is helping raise funds for a 7-year-old boy named Allan. Allan has a bone deformity in both legs that creates a windswept look, making it painful and difficult for him to walk long distances.
If left untreated, his condition will only worsen as he grows, leading to severe mobility issues and early-onset arthritis. The surgery Allan needs will involve cutting and realigning his bones, then pinning and casting them to heal properly — a huge undertaking for Allan and his family.
In addition to the physical challenges, Allan faces the emotional weight of being set apart in his community. He is often called names and identified as “lame” because of his condition. Surgery offers not just physical healing, but the chance for Allan to run, play, and be fully included with his friends.
